When homeowners are in default for their monthly house payments, the financer of the mortgage seeks to regain the property. Although Lenders are working with homeowners  to help restructure their mortgage terms under the ‘Making Homes Affordable’ program, some still end up in foreclosure. Note that Texas is NOT one of the top 10 states for the number of foreclosed homes.
