Bridges At Bear Creek / Bridges Of Bear Creek is a newer development in south Austin. It is located to the south of Shady Hollow and runs along both sides of Brodie Lane. Frate Barker and FM 1626 hold it in place by bordering the north and south ends of the neighborhood. Developed by Buffington Capital, the current builders are Buffington, Mercedes and Scott Felder. Initially, Lennar also built some homes in the section South of Brodie. Scott Felder is advertising their homes as estate homes built on 1 acre lots. Mercedes Estate Lots homes range in size from around 3400sf to a little over 4200sf and in price from $420K to around $460K (as of 2010). Neighboring schools for this community are Timy Baranhoff Elementary, Bailey Middle School for 6-8th grades and James Bowie Senior High School grades 9 through 12th all in the Austin Independent School District.
