Oak Parke

Oak Parke is a small (around 330 homes) but nice neighborhood located near the intersection of West Slaughter Lane and Brodie in South/Southwest Austin. This area has two entrances, one from the Slaughter side on Wolftrap and the other from the Brodie side on Aspen Creek Parkway. Oak Parke is walking distance to Bowie High School. The homes in Oak Parke range in size from 1700 sq ft to over 3000 sq ft. and sit on oversized lots. The construction was done by Newmark, Doyle Wilson, Buffington and other builders from the late 1990’s and was completed in 2000.

Oak Parke Amenities

Oak Parke has a community swimming pool, playground area, basketball and volleyball courts, and picnic tables along with their 2-acre park. These amenities are maintained via the mandatory Oak Parke Homeowners’ Association (HOA).

Within walking distance from Oak Parke is a Randall’s grocery store and a CVS Drug Store. Not too far away is the Sunset Valley shopping strip with stores such as Old Navy, Academy, Ross, and DSW Shoe Warehouse as well as PetCo, PetSmart, Barnes and Noble, OfficeMax, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ulta.

Oak Parke is conveniently located whether you are looking for fast food or more formal sit-down dining. Within half a mile, you will find Brick Oven Pizza, Maudie’s, Galaxy Cafe, and Wok on Fire as well as Subway, Whataburger, Taco Bell, KFC, Sonic, and Baskin Robbins.
